6:10: People seem very credulous when it comes to LLM "introspection". Like the LLM produces an output, then the user asks "how did you do it?" and the LLM then describes essentially the creative process a human would use to produce the output, and the user is like "wow, so smart, it reasons like a human".
An LLM doesn't "know its own mind"! It probably just summarised the WikiHow to you

7:42: Less than a week into being four and my son has talked about death for the first time...
Naturally, trying to use "being dead" as an excuse to not brush his teeth
12:23: π This is pretty much what I do to get my mastodon posts into my site posts https://lisacharlottemuth.com/rss-jekyll-blog except GitHub -> GitLab, Jeckyll -> 11ty, Tumblr -> Mastodon
I do slightly regret merging this with my main mastodon account though as it influences what I share. I might create a separate account again just to feed back to my site

8:02: π researchers accidentally publishing sensitive medical data to GitHub https://www.theguardian.com/science/2026/mar/14/confidential-health-records-exposed-online-uk-biobank
It's just so easily done. I'd think academics don't get loads of training in git either

15:56: Another weekend dominated by sick kids. Swear to god the bugs have not got the message that winter is over. My littlest has been vomiting, dehydrated, and tired. We suspect COVID as we've had the usual symptoms these last couple of weeks. Took him to hospital last night... they didn't keep him in, just made us wait 4 hours then told us to keep looking after him at home.
This will be the last one of winter, we tell ourselves for the tenth time...
