Happenings

  • Been a little while since I posted. Not had much of a posting mojo this month, I guess.
  • The heatwave! This week, we’ve broken all records for June temperatures — though actually, where I was it didn’t get quite as dire as some of the predictions were saying. Still pretty hot though. My school didn’t close, and my classroom isn’t air conditioned, so by the afternoon it was pretty oppressive.
  • Took the boys to an animal sanctuary open day yesterday. It was nice to see some happy formerly-farmed animals. The turnout was great, but there was a huge wait for the handful of food vans to serve around 500 attendees. We had to wait over 90 minutes for one pizza.
