I have no interest in tracking you or holding on to personal data in any way. My site doesn’t have any trackers.

An email address is required to leave a comment. This is to cut down spam, and gives you a consistent identity on the site — you’ll get a consistent avatar, and you’ll bypass the spam filter if I’ve already approved a comment using the same email address. As far as I know the server shouldn’t send you any email, and I certainly won’t email you unsolicited (unless the email address you use is publicly available on your website).
